Causes of stress on students include positive and negative. But, I will focus on negative part. Alphabetically first among the causes of stress is academic pressure. Of course all students will feel pressure when study. Simply tackling more difficult assignments can demand stress management techniques. But, students can overcome their stress by ask help from teachers or their seniors. Research the Internet on subjects could help them prepare for the stresses of academic challengers.
Student life throughout high school and college is filled with thinking about dating, dating, trying to date and failing to date. Not all but some of them. The mating game is filled with stress, and I think it also involve distress and is among the greatest stress among students.
The school or college itself can cause stress on students. Some students slow to adapt with their new environment. Then they shock when they need to study to higher level. Some of them cannot catch up with higher level subject. Those matriculating to tertiary education are challenged with leaving home and establishing a new life with a new setting. High school workloads, and later college workloads are heavy for many students. For secondary students planning on tertiary studies, high school grades are important. So is the number of subject. As a result, students will overload their schedules. In college where a financial investment has been made, students may overwork to reach their goals and benefit from money that they spent. Workload on either level are causes of stress on students.
A lack of time management also can cause stress whether secondary or tertiary. Balancing academics, dating, peer activities and home life can be difficult. Toss in a part-time job, and stress increases. Finally, students at either level experience stress from parental pressures. Parents want students to succeed in school. They want to see great grades but they also want to see succeed in other areas. In their attempts to guide their children, parents can become one of the major stress on students.
